so the silencer isnt the problem...its the header??? I have a HMF with a custom toaster header....never dyno'd it. It runs fine but the dyno tells all.

Id even go as far as to say some of the stock fx400 headpipes would perform better than the HMF's headpipe. I dont really understand why there is such an inconsistancy in the welding setups. Of course these parts are assembled by hand and not robot so human error has a lot to do with it. Just like the collar welds . Some are smooth and tight to the pipe and some are huge tall restrictors that need lots of grinding .
