A friend of mine needs to pay some medical bills for a back injury. He has a 2002 cannibal.
We just finished installing the engine which is a unicorn motor.
It has the decompression update,flywheel update,catridge plate kit,z400 rod bearing,powdercoated valve covernew scavange pump gears.
The engine has only been run for about an hour . I did all engine work myself.
The quad has silver race cut plastic with ohlins shocks ,standard a arms.
Its possible he might part out the quad if needed to sell quicker.So if your looking for a truely updated motor or a rolling chasssis or both heres your chance.

does the unicorn motor have the same crank problems as the rest?

It doesn't have any problems if it has the z400 rod bearing.

If it has wave rotors.....and it gets parted......I Want em!

The unicorn motor is a later cast cable clutch motor converted at the factory for a hydraulic clutch. They are very rare and the most prized cases.

He lives to far away to get some fresh pics but here are some of the first day after it was put back together. Its the quad on the right side.

Heres the engine when I finished rebuilding it. The sidecover is silver with a clearcoat.

Heres rob breaking it in. He said its a little faster than his 400ex ...LOL
