I am looking to sell my "02 X440S and tons of extra parts. the motor has been rebuilt and has the updated Z400 bearing. I also did a mild port job on the head then had the valves and seats ground. We (Chris Shoppe and I) dyno tuned the ECM for proper AFR and max hp. this motor put out about 48 hp on the dyno. the bike runs great and has tons of power and has not been ridden much. the left fork seal leaks a bit and I have new seals to replace them but just have not had time to replace them yet. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If I don't get much interest in the whole bike I may part it out. thanks. chris

Sounds like a very reasonable price. especially for a 48 hp motor. In my case 48 hp in a bike would probably equate to serious pain.
