Quad Tech hood

#1 Post by wyndzer »

Anyone interested in a Quad Tech hood? I have one that is collecting dust. I'll bring it to the Big Buck GNCC on the 2nd if anyone wants it for $100.00.

What don't you like it? Or is there a problem with using it? I have one, but am not to sure about using it for XC racing.

There are some small scratches on the hood from use, but that is no big deal. I wouldn't use it for XC, the billet opening at the front would allow too much mud/water in. TT or MX it is perfect for.
This is what it looks like, but with assorted stickers that can be removed.

The one I have has been plugged for use in XC. There are no open areas in it. Besides I even heard most mx guys plugged that front hole due to too much debris in the airbox.

I was just wondering if it prohibited anything or got in the way.

Cut about an inch off the top of the plastic where the filter sits and then drill some small holes and attach with plastic fasteners.

I still have the hood if anyone is interested, and no it's not trashed:p
