Alright then, who's got a pair of shocks laying around collecting dust?

Need some for a completely non quad related project. blink.gif wink.gif

Postage to either Australia or Europe (dependant on which is the cheaper option)

Thanks for looking now tell me what you've got! mad.gif tongue.gif

What are you up to, a buggy type thing....?

Will Arvins do for what you want?

I am in the UK if you are in Europe I can post you some stock Cannibal Arvins for free, just cover the postage.

They have only done about 20 hrs but you do know Arvins aren't the best shox....?

Let me know where you are and if you want them I'll send them off....

Sorry, wasn't trying to hi-jack things, just thought I would be nearer for him postage wise.... If he's doing a buggy the weight might prove too much for Arvins, that's why I was asking....

Europe is a long way from Australia though, not sure what that's about..... vacation maybe?

Can't customs have a fanny-fit over strange-looking parts in your case... I once had a right do with them trying to fly to Italy with some electronic work I was doing.....

"That extremely delicate and very expensive equipment will have to go in the hold sir so our baggage handlers can play soccer on the apron with it...." er,..... no!

Sorry for the delay guys...

Shocks are destined to grace the front of a hotrod that my father is assembling for me in Australia. I'm heading back there for a week next year and the bloody thing needs to be done.

I'll pass on the Arvins (after having numerous sets fail on quads)
Thanks for the offers all the same, appreciated.

The hunt continues...

You'll definitely need something stronger than quad fronts for a rod. What chassis / motor are you using?

You might get away with a pair of rears, it depends on your suspension design. You would want to remove the PDS portion in the Ohlins if you did use them.

Avo dampers made to measure are not that expensive, they're not that great either, but if it's just a street rod they'd do fine....

It's a Aussie bodied Ford Pop (Anglia) pickup that's been "couped"
Engine is a wankel with 250+ hp

Quad shocks will more than suffice as there's little weight on the front, much less weight/force than a quad being ridden hard... wink.gif

It's been driven with a pair of aincent KX80 rear shocks in the front but due to age, the seals blew and it was deemed useless to try and rebuild them.
