Does that KTM sprocket fit without any modification? I remember reading something about filing one side down or something.

I've got a NEW 14 tooth, 5 bucks plus shipping from VA and its yours. It will never go to use on either one of my Cannondales someone might as well have it for near nothing.

How does the Cdale respond to a smaller front tooth? And what about going down to 18" MX tires? Is it a good idea to go smaller?

I wouldn't think you could go any smaller up front than 13. 13 eats the buffer pretty quick as it is. a 12 and you might not even spin the chain.

My bad. I'm an idiot. I thought going to a 14 was going smaller.

Warning to those w/teh Sunstar sprocket. It doesn't like to stay on. The nut on the engine shaft will come loose after 3-4hrs ride time no matter how tight you get it on. The sprocket needs to be grinded down or something. I'm not sure how it does it but it does. I even switched to a different nut and the same thing happened in the middle of a race on Sat. Was able to get it tight enough w/my hand to finish the lap and do a quick tightening and still win the class, but not by much.

Speaking of sprockets though. Anyone know where to get a 15t sprocket? I'd like to keep the rear the same and go to 15t in the front but can't find one anywhere. i get sick of only needing 4th and 5th gear in the trails most of the time. Slows me down compared to when I had bigger tires.
