How about a 97 cbr 600F3, it is full race prep but could be made street legal pretty easy again.

I got a buddy with a crotch rocket that he hasn't road in a year. I know he wasn't ask much at all. I'll call his folks and have him call me from school. He wanted to sell it last Halloween and never bothered. He's never in town and can't take it too school.

I could make a trip to Kzoo with it if you were interested. I have lots of freinds and family there.

Both the duc's would be really great first bikes. Not exactly the supersports of today but definite fun bikes. Not bad prices if they've been kept up nicely and come with a few reciepts.
