Steve your journey to the elusive 50 has inspired me . How about a badge of acomplishment. I had my sister map these out for us today. She will have a sheet of black and red done tommorrow.

Think I need a 55HP badge biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Show me a quad rear wheel dyno chart and I'll send you a set that is fitting. Do you think the ktm can break 50 on the dyno? If those have 50 to 55 in a bike then it might show 6 to 10 less in a quad.

Hey these decals rock. ohmy.gif

Sisters are great to have . One does my laundry and the other does my graphic designs. laugh.gif

What are you going to say when we transplant a 495 stroker into your yfz when it blows chunks?

If I give ya a couple bucks for one of those badges, will you send the acompanying motor with it?

Cool idea. Who will be the first to 60? The suspense is killing me.

Steve, thanx for the charts. I've got to get ink now so that I can print and analyze them.

I think Tims 495 should be very close if not there already but we will have to get it on mikes dyno for good comparison.

Some of you might not be getting the numbers you think you should have . There are a bunch of little tips to get good dyno numbers.

1 tune the quad with as many runs as possible to get even readings. I do three at a time per tune change .
2 use flat track tires and make sure they are flat across when pumped up.
3 fresh gas/race gas
4 pull the brake caliper away from the rotor for less drag
5 use synthetic oils I run 5w30 synthetic in the engine and transynd atf in the tranny.
6 non oring chains are good for 1/3 hp
7 clean filters
8 do a throttle cal when warm.
9 remove all plastic to eliminate heat buildup and quick dyno hookups
10 make sure your wheel bearings are not going bad
11 dont over tighten down the quad. Squished tires use power.
12 the most important tip...........build a bad arse motor
