Yea I got it in the garage in about 150 peices. laugh.gif I took it apart to see what was up found that is was burning antifreeze. Head has a little wapage, rings are bad,and im trying to find a cheap crank upgrade. Everybody wants 150 or more to press it apart and install Z bearing. I have worked on stuff before i dont see where its that diffucult, If i had a press Id try it myself. I have to find a flywheel puller to get the crank out but i dont have a 150 to spare right now. I dont even have the 35 the machine shop want to redo the head, I geuss Ill start with it and keep try to find a way to do the crank myself. Whats your suggestions?

The bearing is almost $40 last I checked so they are getting about $100 for replacing bearing in crank. If they dont have a plate made already thats not bad.Cheapest around here is $40+bearing.Add shipping and your better off getting it done by your shop.

That's the problem there isnt a crank shop around here. What kinda plate are you talking about? Do they have a special plate for the press to get the crank apart?
