Thought I'd add some recent info for offsets I found. For another bike (my gasgas 300) I'm using an extra set of Ohlins forks and needed ~22 mm offset. I found that 2005 -2011 RMZ450s have lower offset than the stock 24 mm
of the Cannondale. The 05 and 06 are 22.5 and the 07-11 are 21.5 and they still are supposed to fit the same fork diamters. I'll find out in a couple of days when my 2005 triples show up.
They are cheap on ebay and lower offset helped my E440 turn better.

Ok so don't get the triple clamps from a 2005 RMZ450. The upper clamp is too big. Bottom clamp is fine. I'm going to make some shims at work on the lathe so they'll work, but they don't fit without them.

Good thread. Thanks for posting the updates, too.

Reviving this old thread. Which year triple clamp did you end up sticking with?
Do I need the complete lower and upper with bar mounts. Or upper only. And will I need the honda bar mounts.
Other than fender mount did you have any other issues.

On the E440 I used an aftermarket set of adjustable clamps for a 2002 honda crf450. From what I remember the stock Honda clamps are the same offset as the
Cannondales. I believe there is a version that fits the Ohlins or Showa forks from one of the years of a crf250x or a crf450x that have a smaller offset but I don't remember where I wrote all that down. It's not a night or day thing but it was better for me. You need to figure out something for turn stops.

I have switched to a BRP 20mm triple clamp on my 'dale and it made it a bike that I will actually ride singletrack on for fun now. To me, it was absolutely a night and day difference. I need to do a write up on it as I have quite a few pictures and had to make some slight modifications...

I'm looking for a cheap way to try a 20mm offset. The CRF triples sounded like an easy application. But I think they are 24.

Later model 450x triples are 22 mm. 20s were available aftermarket for 450rs for years that fit the Ohlins. some ktm 300s had 20 mm offset clamps but I'm not sure the forks would fit. BRP makes the cheapest 20 mm new set that fits the right years of hondas that mate up with the Ohlins forks at about $340.

Good luck with it. It worth the change to get a Dale to turn if you ride tight stuff.

It would be great to see that write up. Pics and all.
