Guy wouldn't respond to my e-mails. I am going to be up there when the auction ends. Maybe......

I talked to him, he has no paperwork on it and knows nothing about it other than the receipt with the VIN, he got it not long ago but doesn't want to fix it blah blah blah. Im still 50/50 on getting it because its close to me but I want one to ride on the road and I need paperwork like a MCO or something.

$550 seems a tad steep if it needs a complete engine. Id offer maybe half that.

I remember not long ago someone couldn't unload nice bike rollers for $150 or something and that's essentially what you're getting. If there is anything salvagable in that motor you're still looking at a grand to update that motor plus misc stuff that is probably not there and you can buy fully updated ready to ride ones all day for 2000. I guess when they are available that is, but it would be highly likely one comes along before that project would get finished.

I don't care what these quad guys say. I think you got yourself a good deal. Especially if you know how to work on your own motors. laugh.gif now putting on my flameproof underwear

I think he got a fair deal as well. I was going to bid on it but I couldn't convince myself to drive 6 hours round trip from where I'm working in NY.

Feel free to share what you find out about the engine. I'm curious as to what all was wrong with it.
