If your talking you IAC is at 205 on the D@M then it would be saying its at operating temp and the iac valve is fully closed at 205. Now if it says that while it cold then I would make sure your coolant temp sensor is plugged in or at least functioning.

I think you a refering to the stepper motor setting of 205. This should always be at 205 once the engine is warm. Think of it as a choke mechanism. It starts around 170 and tops out at 205 when fully warmed up. Look in the D&M manual and do some reading on what all the settings represent. Also, Harry Moto has a Web sight with some good explanations as well. The link is on Cannondaler, but I think it is www.harrymoto.com.

Check out the IACV section in the EFI Training Manual. It will tell you how to test it using the coolant temp sensor. With the D&M hooked up simultaneously, you can connect and disconnect the coolant temp sensor and you should see the IACV position change on your screen, and you should witness the actual IACV physically move to confirm operation. I would suspect the coolant temp. sensor like Wistech said. The D&M can only monitor the ECU's desire to command the IACV to move to 205, it cannot monitor actual movement. Therefore, if it desires a 205 position when cold, this indicates a malfunctioning or disconnected coolant temp sensor.
