hey guys, im looking to pick up an 03 moto here in the next couple weeks. but before i do i want to make sure that im not going to have to tear the motor apart right when i get it. so thats why im here. what are all the updates the 03 moto's needed so they wouldnt break or explode. thanks.

Well most of them require you to tear the motor down so if you want to just ride it then do it after.Thats always a option.

yeah the one im looking at is 100% stock. but in general. what updates did they need so they wouldnt grenade. how hard are the cdale motors to tear into?

If they have not been gone over its a good idea to give it a tear down. If you're mechanically inclined you should not have any problems. The stock shop manual is excellent. As nickc711 said they're a blast just take your time doing the motor and its no big.The main reason for giving it a once over is some of the motors were put together from the factory without loctite and bolts can back out.Its just good insurance to go over its.Once gone over they're just as dependable as the other 450s.Good luck.
