I just took the stator off my moto and found that it fried itself. I was wondering why they do this or maybe they don't and it was just mine. On the back the four wires that go into three were fried, I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this or what happened. Thanks.

Are you talking on the very back of the stator where you have to remove the stator to see them or under the clip in the upper left corner of the stator cavity.

yeah, after the stator is taken off, they are the four wires that come right off stator, then they go up and one must connect to another to form only 3 and then go up into the plug. but right off the back of the stator they were fried to a crisp.

That is strange, unless there was some sort of a short somewhere. Don't throw the old one away, if you want to get a newly rebuilt one as good as stock, check with Brad @ Black Widow. I think he is accepting the old ones as credit towards a new one.

yeah i thought that it was weird too. yeah oops i threw my old one out, i wish now that i would have saved it and taken pics. i guess i'll have to go back through and check all my grounds. i'm sure that there are no loose wires though. ok i was just checking too see if that was normal. thanks.

Does that include ground-up bearing carrier and bearings?

I probably saved them too
