Hey guys !

a friend of mine just started to rebuild his cdale.
As he broke dwn the engine he found a little hole in the crank ( drilled ) .
Is this from balanceing the crank ????

Furthermore , if he is turning the crank ( without starter and timingchain attached ) he can hear some cracking noise huh.gif
Any ideas ???

thanks ,
Marcus

the hole that I think your talking about is for setting top dead center as for the cracking noise more than likely it's the crank bearing.

Check your flywheel for being tight on the hub. For some reason if they get loose they make a crackling noise . Your main bearing may be toast as well.
