Hi, finally found this place and it's good to be in excellant company.

Just wondered if there was anything in particular that fits in place like the front number board in the banner at the top of this page? my understanding is that the factory item is like rocking horse poo, does anything else specifically fit in place? I'm getting a bit of stick from my race organisers who say they don't like reading the number off the rear of the bike! I wouldn't mind but being the only person I know of in cornwall, england racing a cannondale 440. How hard could it be to spot amoung the ktm's yamaha's and suzuki's??

I love the factory front number plate. I think it looks really good and also blocks some roost from getting to the radiator. The alternative is to mount a regular square one on the front bumper. I did that for years without any problems...If this is the only problem you are having, you are doing great!

I prefer the front plate for reasons stated above. Just make sure you have some foam to protect the front bumper as vibration will cause the plastic t saw right through the aluminum.

Yeah, I have an AC stadium that is half sawed through from not putting anything there. It is about time to replace anyhow with the tree bashing it does smile.gif

I'll have to see if I can get something that'll fit in the gap. My concern is that I've got a radiator screen on and by chucking something else in front of the rad it'll send the water temp through the roof. I've got the board on the front bumper but in the last few races it's been brown by the end of the first lap.

I have developed a new fault with mine. My main fuel pump is leaking, where can I get one in two weeks before my next race? can they be rebuilt or are they sealed units? i've done the fuel mods (cheers dave) and it's leaking that much that the bike won't run.

Your number plate will stay clean if you are leading. If your race officials are complaining they cant read your number plate mounted on the front bumper because it is covered with mud/dirt, tell them tough ****. Are they expecting you to stop and clean it off periodically? As for the fuel pump leaking, I haven't heard of that before. Tighten your hose clamps? Where exactly is it leaking?

Dude, it's the uk, they're not happy unless they're moaning. Agreed, I need to be further up the field and it's not like there's another one racing and with the standard board on the back what else am I supposed to do? tattoo my number on my forehead?

The fuel pump is leaking from the top. Where the two wires connect, it seems to be comming out of the only part that isn't sealed. Is it the same pump that's on a ford ranger? I'm guessing the ford ranger i the states is totally different to the ford ranger that we have over here, just to make my life awkward.....

Here we have number plates on the grabbar wich are mounted at an 90 degree angle, so you can read/see them from the side.

Is the body of the pump cracked, or is the banjo bolt just loose? There are crush washers there just like on a brake line fitting.

I've got the pump off and disconnected the fittings. The top half of the pump where the terminals are can be turned in the housing. I can't get it out, but the seal or whatever was keeping the fuel in, isn't there anymore, hence the leak under pressure.

In short, unless I can get the top out, it's borked. Is it the same as a ford ranger or not? when I google the walbro part number it doesn't really come up with any suggestions as to where I can get a replacement.

As for the number plate on the rear, I'll have to make a mounting for it like the one in the picture. Shouldn't be too hard.
