Well i graduate in 3 weeks so now ill be able to ride. Tower City, PA is where ive been going for the past 8 years to ride, and i love it! conveniently Rausch Creek MX park was down the street, and ive always loved going there with the Moto to ride for the afternoon. My local track at Englishtown is just too expensive to ride at.

Im still planning on keeping the moto, but i want to hear your opinion on my idea of getting a Cannibal, or a Blaze if possible to ride. I love woods riding, and so does my dad, and id like to get something more rock friendly than a moto. Id really like to sell our raptor and get my dad a cannibal as well, so he can see what he's missing.

Yay or nay?

And on a side note, ive been itching to get into supermoto, which id like to put the moto to use in wink.gif

Thanks everyone.

Definitly replace the Raptor with a Dale.I had a Raptor and while it was great in the dunes it took alot of fun out of trail riding.I called it the Brontosaurus because without suspension mods the wieght of the thing made handling terrible. Was reliable though.

Actually a lot of people agree that the raptor is one of the best trail quads ever! But I agree with 27, you should get another cdale. But you can just trail ride the moto if you put some trail size tires on unless you ride private land that is narrow. Most atv parks are wide enough for a moto.

yeh we love it but my dad is always sneaking out on the moto haha. I was thinking about putting cannibal front end on it and moving the wheels in on the axle. The parts are in my garage but the moto map isn't suited for woods.

I have a speed i used for all my trail riding and pit riding. I had 21-7-10 fronts with 20-11-9 rears and it always did good for my around here in maine. I did however widen front and rear of it 4 inches with stock travel and it felt alot better in the woods, that depends on the width of trails and stuff in your area. Some places here we barely fit through but thats not very often.

Why can't you ride the woods with the moto map? I ride with the x440/speed map. That's the only map I use. And the trails I ride on rub tires on my stock cannibal set up.

You could always put 4+1's on the front. It would get you to 48" and all you would need to change back to full moto is move the rear spacers in and change wheels/tires.

I love the raptor, its really a torque monster and ive never once gotten it stuck, but it rides like crap and for the money to get shocks for it we could buy 2 cannibals with parts to spare haha. And the trails we ride on get really narrow, some have been a squeeze on our warrior.

I had bought these tires i have now for trails, but they suck they just have bad tread. If i do go the route of wheels/tires theyre gonna be kenda klaws or holeshot XCRs, not sure which.

I dont know, it just doesnt have the bottom end i like, but get it going through the RPMs and my dad cant even keep up with the 660. It even crossed my mind to get that kit from Optimum to switch/trim maps, but its a lot of dough.

with the wheels on it now its around in front, and 48 in rear with the spacers on the inside.

Id really like to have a dedicated trail quad, mostly cause im afraid of tearing up the moto parts. The setup on our warrior was great in the trails, w actually had bigger rear tires and plenty of ground clearace, changed up the gears and it was awsome. I think before i make a decision id have to take a ride again since its been so long, but i do want to get a cannibal or speed for my pops.

First I would ask, what size tires (rear) and what gearing are you running? Then is there any engine work? if so what cam timming was used?

I know my son used a set of my tires on his moto once without changing the gearing and it was almost unridable as far as low-end

20 inch tires, and i geared it down too.
