the quad starts and idles but as soon as i give it gas it backfires and stalls....it has a shot battery in it will this make it not run it holds no charge

any help

A bad battery can do funny things. You can just bypass it with some jumper cables from your car and see how it runs then. Just make sure you unhook your ground cable on the bike side.

also try wiggling your injectors connections a little to see if one is unplugged and you can also pull out the relay in front to see if that helps

update....

put new battery in...
new plug...

still it starts and runds for like 3 maby 4 seconds and dies.... help plz

ok now it stays running but when you go to take off it stalls... it starts and idles good now but like when you hit the gas over hafe it acts like its going to die...the fuel pump sounds weak like a squicking noise...

Check your electrical connections. Increased vibration on a loose connection will cause disconnection. Or it could possibly be a bad coil. Do you have another one to test?

The squeaky pump is suspect. I have had a bad pump that did that. Are your quick connects gutted? Do you have good return fuel flow in the tank?

i have the nology coil pack...but no other one
