02 cannibal 440 - quad starts and runs great But a lot of the time when pushing the thumb throttle it shuts off any thoughts

the quad is super fast - the guy I bought from said: upgraded the electrical system new crank & bearings head work all done in AZ - when it shuts off it a clicking noise

I have the same problem on my 2001 FX400. My bike is bone stock and has had the updates. I am the original owner, but it has set for the last few years. I went out and started it every couple of months to keep it lubed. Now it idles but when the throttle is hit the bike just dies. I replaced the fuel lines and the fuel pump. Any ideas?

Try removing the relay under the air filter
