Tim,

Could you give a breakdown of cam timing you recommend for various types of riding? I think a thread or sticky on various combinations and where the power is delivered for various setups would be great. After degreeing in cams all afternoon and doing too much math I am second guessing myself. I have the Intake at 108 and the exhaust at 105.

If you had done your homework you might have found this...
http://www.cannondaleriders.com/forums/ind...th+instructions
and you would not have had to do any math and it probably would not have take so long too...
It also has what to expect with some of the popular timing combinations so once you see it you might want to make one more adjustment.

I did use your spreadsheet and it made it MUCH easier than the old fashioned way, however I spoke with Tim yesterday and he was saying to run the intake 2-3 degrees more than the exhaust. I guess it is all about what engine configuration you have and what its intended application is.

Thanks

From the post...
106i/106e is factory spec and is strong on the bottom and mid
106i/109e settings are reported to have a smooth power delivery and more on top
107i/108e settings are reported to work well for mx with a strong mid and top
108i/106e settings are reported to have a good top end hit without loosing too much low and mid
108i/108e settings sacrifice some bottom and mid for more top end
