Here is a setup with the lights inverted and hung from a yoke that projects out from our stock (flat-top) topclamps:

Here's a view of the same mounting yoke extending from underneath the stock keyplate and bottom clamps, and with the lights normal upright.

Either way, the setup is about $115 and includes 2 halogen MR16 Torch lights (suggest 35w 1 spot, 1 flood), the mounting yoke, and misc hardware as needed for your mount. Some items not pictured.

I agree that the beam of the small HID spot is too focused. Even
when using twin helmet lights, the dual floods are better.
Note the handy helmet light receptacle that is mounted to the Speed, in first pic above.
