Here is one coil location that has worked out well,....and it provides a rather short cable run to the spark plug (shorter the better, FYI).
I had earlier tried riveting the remote coil to the frame, but the rivets eventually loosened. So it seems that clamping or through-bolting are better options. The Hotwire ground lead can easily be connnected under the lower left impeller coverbolt.

c27 rides much more than we do, and he will have some longterm usage experience.

Motor doesnt heatup the coil.Dyno says no power advantage over stock.Alot of us have had stock coils fail. Also plug wire makes tach readings easy and accurate which is why I did mine.At dyno I could never get a good reading going off the stock coil wire.

HI,

So I finally put in my coil kit today (and put on my hour meter aroud the plug wire :-) ) I used C27 mounting location and seems to work fine so far. It does feel like its a little quicker throttle response after install.

Thanks

God bless..
