Hi boomer,

just wanted to make a public display of gratitude for your help with my full engine re-build. After a schoolboy error of putting the stator spacer on the wrong way round and tightening the flywheel right up, resulting in a 'click click' from the starter motor, this morning the bike came back to life. I still have alot of work to do before I can venture out onto the current icey roads of the UK, but to hear that engine spinning over and then firing up was awesome.

I have very little mechanical experience, but with your help it's been great. I'm really looking forward to the next one. If I could just find someone who could get me some rod parts....... wink.gif

Cheers

Will

Look at it! out playing in the snow!

Still going real easy on it at the moment, and paranoid with any unusual noises etc, but it all on the face of it is running fine.
