Mapping how-to???

I have a fx400 with the old sagem 500 computer,is it worth it to purchase the tools and software to remap it my self?Is remapping the computer difficult to do with my home computer?How much does it cost?I do not belive that I need the handlebar mounted adjust on the fly stuff but I would like to try different maps.HELP!

I dont think the older 500's are flashable. Meaning I dont think they can have the MAPS changed

I think they have to be remappable since I had to have it remapped for the HMF slipon.Kyle at R&S did it over a year ago.

The 500 is able to be re-mapped, but the rev limiter is fixed at 10,600 on the quad, 11,600 on the dirtbikes.
