Looking to see if anyone has taken apart or researched what the pin configuration of the D&M Diag cable is. I have a D&M cable that came with my kit but was looking to have a spare to take with me on trips so the only cable I have does not get destroyed. The wiring schmatic shows where the wires are routed to and that 2 pins out of the 4 send and receive, one is ground and the other I think it is used to turn the green LED on and tell you that you are ready to go.

If anyone has figure this out let me know.

There is more to it than that.I believe the cable communicates with D&M.

Yup, the little black box is a decoder that allows the communication. I would have guessed its just a RS232 type communication but someone else has made new cables. But, without an optimum cable you can't have communcation with the optimum software.

I had a feeling that that was the case when it would not ohm out.

Thought I would give it a try since I had some spare cables lying around.
