A big thank you to speedracer, he let me borrow one of his spare ECUs. I hooked up the spare ECU to my bike. I tried to load hex and communicate to it via the D&M cable. I received the same errors that I did with my stock ECU. I now feel pretty confident that I have a wiring issue.

Does anyone have any tips for testing the wires? Can I use a multimeter to check the wires? Thanks!

Did you load the code (key) for the spare ECU. I dont know but don't think it will read it without the key (i think they call it a "KEY") I don't even know if the key is the same when used on differant D&M's.

I used optimum loader to load hex. It does not require a key to use. I received the same errors as I did with the stock ECU.

I also tried using my old ecudiag cable. That did not work either.
