I have a 2001 Cannondale 440. I have been thinking since I bought the quad whether I should buy one of these things.
A. Do I really need it?
B. Will it make that much of a difference?
C. Which system is better?
Any and all opinions are welcome
Should every Cannondale quad have a Power Commander or D&M?
Two completly different animals...
The power commander the way I understand it connects between the ecu and everything else and it makes it so dyno operators can dial in your afr with no map tweaking involved so it only makes that easier.
I does not do throttle cal's load other maps run diagnostics load hex codes and such.
You would need a d&m to do all that other stuff first and it is generally chaper used but if you heavily mod a motor you will probably need to learn how to tweak a map to some degree. I think I can safely say that you dont need a power commander with a stock or fairly well modified motor if you stick to the tried and proven mods...
