Thats just weird. I don't get how some are lasting. Devon's motor had 10 hours on it and cams were toast. Stock cams, stock valves, kb springs.

Happy only reason some could last like mine did is because the stock cams I have must be hardened correctly.But I am not willing to hardness test my cams since they would be ruined by doing so unless someone can find a method.Eddy current testing is only method I have found but cant find anyone to do it.I ran 11500rev whole time.

Well I got my motor back out in about an hour tonight, alot faster this time now that I knew what I was doing. Tim could you PM me your address, Ill try and ship it out on monday if I get time. What kind of coolers are you guys using that are tall enough to ship these motors in?

The cubical ones work perfectly. I dont remember the part number.

.. I droped the 448 tonight,cams looked good. But iv got gear oil in the motor with metal,but not getting and motor oil in the trany. There was so much oil the left drain on the frame was pluged.

Check your scavange pump shaft seal.

..I'll do that t/y.. i was going to run the crank case psi test and see what i got...Got any idea were the metal might be from?
