I.A.C.V. /stepper motor

#1 Post by cannondale27 »

I am becoming more and more convinced these things are trouble. Was lots of issues way,way back and continue to this day.
I made a plate and blocked mine off.Would like to make a manual one like both the new LTR 450 and the Gas Gas has.Hmm wonder why they didnt use a stepper?Anyway here is link to the original stepper bypass.

Ill agree with ya, I think they are trouble too, mine gave me problems until John suggested blocking it off, so I blocked it off with a solid gasket and no problems. Not to sound dumb, but what does it actually do? Just give it higher idle the colder it is outside?

Yes it also keeps the motor from flooding when cold.I really like the cool selfadjusting idle but I've been burned twice by the thing.Makes tuning impossible when it isnt working correctly.Very frustrating. Not going to give it another chance.
