Wistech used a high strength silicone type goop, that he uses at work. I would probably use some sort of epoxy or JBweld. Remember only the flat one is glued down, the other one just sits in the oil strainer screen minding it's own business.

These things are cheap insurance. I am not magnet crazy, it's just we keep finding a good place to mount them. I would love to have something to keep the metal from going into the frame when a motor goes. Flushing the frame just plain sucks. Wistech is thinking of a screen type filter in the return line from the motor to the frame.
