My filter had a weak plastic center shaft which i replaced with a threaded rod that I had to cut the grooves in to let oil flow past the threads. Yours should be good to go.

Patmc81, Thats the same one I'm using and all I did was grind the round ring down to the shape of the rod and cut grooves at the ends so that it would flow oil better. Can take appart realy quick if you need to see how I did mine.
