Can you groove it and use a O-ring?

i am gonna goove it i was planing on using something like the gasket on the vavle cover. worse case i will use a piece like .25 wide x like 6'' long and about .03 thick and lay it on the flat. it will work thats why they make rtv

Any news on this one? LOL.... It's only been a year and a half, so I figured what the heck....
