are the reason people have a lot of problems with their cannondales because they race them? do all of you race them or is it just, they have problems?

A little bit of both. A lot of people on here race them but not all. There are a few problems such as the cranks being out of balance/the bearings on them but can be taken care of easily and made more powerful/reliable. I'll leave anything else to the experts to comment on.

There have been a few that have ran problem free for a couple hundred hours but I would still suggest doing as many updates as possible. With a few hundred dollars you could have z400 crank bearing, motor mount, stage 8, and evans coolant to prevent valve cover corrosion. With that and regular maintenance like adjusting valves and changing oil and filters you should have a reliable machine.

As far as I know all the quads came with a thumb throttle

i bought my dale in january. It was never raced(i only rode it for an hour). It's still not together because of the countless amount of problems. So i would have to guess yes racing does take a toll on them but a lot of the problems arent neccessarily from racing. We'll have to see how she holds up after i DO get a few races under it.

I have never raced my dale... the only problem I had was due to my own fault... never ride the rev limiter for to long..
