im currently working on a removable side cover. the way its gonna work is that you send me your cover and i modify it into a two piece cover and send it back. right now im still in testing phase. about 2 weeks more. want to get an idea of how many people would be interested.. the cover will be around 2-300.

..I??????????????????ve pondered this thought many, many times, and even with the cover in half the bottom half of the cover is still behind the engine cradle making the bolts very hard to get to still. So I kind of stopped thinking about it.
..I did come up with a thought about maybe being able to remove just the left side engine cradle bar/brace. I think if just that one bar brace was easy to remove we??????????????????d be well on our way? Something to think about I guess..
???????????????But turbospeed440 it is a good idea and id like to see it work..

I like this line on a motor and have also thought of this but would way rather you did it.

1) how you gonna weld on a magnesium cover?

2) I think this line is better and would be easier to seal .

If you notice this side cover is Aluminum it would weld and machine nicely

I think it would be awesome to access your oil pumps, check your gravel , I can't think of many more reasons to do this besides that

Timing chain replacement? How often do we do that, though.

I agree that the cradle would still make it hard to remove the lower portion.

However, If I do buy one of these, please don't weld it with the hand you draw with! J/k!

If I could remove sidecover I might do the whole motor right in quad.Or at least be able to swap trannies between a super motard and regular. Also most important of all you could shim the valves and remove cams and check springs.Something we cant do with just valvecover off.
