Where they really seem to have problems are on TT and MX so I can't wait to see the results there. I've got two of them that are not gone but on their way out. And w/too high horsepower engines being built I can only imagine how long they'll last on the stockers.

How do you know when a flywheel is "on their way out?"

Cdsracer has spun 3 within the past ~35 hours.... All three last season. One at the track, and two in the sand...

You can tell as they straight to get tiny hair fractures coming out from the center. Atleast that's what I've seen/heard in the past. I've never spun one and I've been using the same ones since 2004 and 2003 in one case. But they won't last much longer. I ride only MX but my style doesn't put as much pressure on them I'm told. Who knows though.

Those lines coming out from center are definitly something going on but I dont think they indicate failure any more than a clean one.Its some kind of oil coming right out of the flywheel. All mine have that for quite awhile now.

'Tis true I'm afraid, very busy of late, too busy for playtime which is a bummer.....

Hoping to do Weston in a couple of months if I get time to prep a quad ready for the event (might just buy one that's already done though the way things are just now....)

Trouble is I have no updated cranks ready to use, Tim has all my spare ones.....
