Here is a good one.Even though the E85 had less hp in this one it still had more torque.Tuning would definitly have helped it with the E85.

Hi,

THat's cool to get those numbers with something that only costs $3.25/gal. It might be worth the expense of the retrofit to run that.

God bless...

There is also the cooling benefit. We will see.I am buying the most expensive highest HP producing gas to test. The CamII is just out of pump and was about $6 gal. This stuff is about $15.Q16.

HI,

I talked to Timbo today and he said that he has run E85 on a stock system with no issues till he stored it over winter and forgot to remove the E85. It made his fuel pump freeze up. He said tuned right it will give my 450 stroker get about 1-2 lb more torque and 1-2 peak HP :-) It does require harley injectors and about 35% more fuel on the mapping. I am hoping to try this out on a dyno in a few weeks.

It also cools your motor big time. While dynoing keep an eye on your IACV position. If it opens your tuning and AFR will be off.

Hi. Thanks for that tip. I forgot on the iavc what position number is closed vs full open ? Also what afr should we be shooting for with e85?

Also. Would a power commander work for e85 tuning?

Thanks

Nice. You will need different injectors and ProCal or a Powercommander. You can start at about a 30% increase in fuel just about across the entire map vs gasoline.

out of curiosity why would you need a procal...is a D&M not enough to achieve the correct end results? I'm very interested due to the fact I might also be converting to E85? I do have a D&M.
