Heres a few pics of the drag and mx tank I built out of .065 wall 4043 aluminum. The gas tank is about the same weight of a full pop can and hold one gallon of fuel. Still have to weld the tabs on for the fender mounts and the hook for the seat which i'll do tommorrow. Will also be eventually setup to use dzus fastners. What do you think?

See and they all said it couldn't be done! Nice job!
Wait till you guys see the exhaust that goes with this type tank.
Should also be nice for those of us who have to run the nasty race gases. Just leave gas right in there and it won't go bad since it's metal.

Leave a tank full of E85 in there and watch what happens!!!!!
VERY SLICK!!!
What did you use for the filler neck? I am going to be building one soon as well.
Dang northerners. LOL
Ford lines their tanks and lines with teflon on their flexfuel vehicles. That is really the only fuel system difference in flexfuel and regular vehicles. The tank and lines are steel, so they must use some type of a liquid to line them. I wonder how hard it would be to find some of that?
