Pretty much as expected they screwed up the order. They shipped me the rebuild kits like thats going to help. So now expected build date is july 3 . mad.gif

We learned that the old style rods are super strong and through hardened. You need one sharp and coated carbide to machine out the center for the sleeve. Brian snapped some pics before installing in the crank. There is a lot more to installing these sleeves than one would think . Many steps of machining ,ridged honing, double and triple checking clearances for the press fit them final honing to size. For the time involved ($) its almost not worth it to rebuild the stock rods. Brian just wanted to see if he could do it but is not really interested in doing more unless its a downright emergency .LOL

We would love to think the updated cranks will live forever but they still do wear.
