That happened almost 3 years ago, Yamaha bought it for the manufacturing plant, as all Yamaha's and there parts are not manufactured in Japan!, they are made in several other countries also and have been for a long, long time, IE: There current and non-current models of small youth and mid sized ATV's, small youth and mid sized Dirt Bikes like the RT's, TTR's, PW's and other outdoor power equiptment like generators, water pumps etc...
Also of interest Yamaha is also a large investor in Harley-Davidson stock....and why would that be? Yamaha is a very smart business oriented company and looking at the future.....just note there cruiser line, yes we all know there Yamaha's but yet they are Star branded which is a subsidiary of Yamaha but yet another company on there own!
