HI,
I saw this on facebook today and instantly thought about this as a possible treatment for our stock cams and buckets to make them last longer.

What do you guys think? Will it last long term for us?

God bless...
Mark

Its good stuff, id like to see specific differences between DLC coating and this. DLC is added to the material your coating, WPC is physically changing the surface of the material without adding anything on top. Im sure both have ups/downs but id think it would come down to cost of having the processes done for me.

Just an update, I looked into pricing for different treatments on parts for my car which both process would cost roughly the same for small engines. WPC treatment is much cheaper than DLC coating on average, $5 for wrist pins done in WPC as opposed to $20 per pin in DLC. WPC crank is $200 as opposed to $450... you get the idea its roughly half the cost and from what I read, WPC treatment is the way to go as it doesn't change clearances and it lasts longer/works better.

i wounder if you were to do both the cam and the buckets if they would then want to eat into one another? if the price is that much cheaper, i would def be interested into trying this out...
very cool find mark!

No they would actually resist that, the surface would hold the oil better.
