Over the years my stockpile of ball joints has been dwindling . When I was at Tims he mentioned that polaris predator ball joints are almost a direct drop in for the Dales with the same angle of rotation. The only difference is they are about 1mm smaller in diameter than the hole in the arm. Being that the sleeve to take up the clearance would be very thin I made some out of titanium and will be trying out several suppliers of joints that fit the predator 500. I did not cut one apart yet but it looks like this one is a real ball joint with wear compensating bellville discs inside. The stock ones have a plastic injected under the ball which after a few hours of use gets a little play and quickly pounds the ball through the wear surface. Ive used the tie rod type ball joints from several suppliers which have proven to have binding issues and boot problems so hopefully this will be a better option.
