Hi one other idea, the new Lithium batteries weigh about 1-2lbs and cost about $125 and last 5-7 years (or so they say)

GOd bless...

By far this is the best mod anyone can make to any bike. I have em in all my bikes and I like to use the blue Anderson connectors. It makes it super easy to swap out a battery between different bikes so you only need to buy one battery if times are tight. 1-2 lbs compared to 10 lbs and much longer storage life is a no brainer.
I unplug my batts when the bikes are parked to keep from any drawdowns. The batts stay charged for a very long time. [attachment=13985:batt2.jpg]
