Engine rebuild

I pulled my engine on my 02 speed today.I found some small metal flakes in the oil filter.They were copper colored.Where are they from? It ran great and no crank problems.Going to get the engine rebuilt.My question...do i need to flush the frame now?I only saw about 6 metal flakes.Thanks for any ideas.

Could be start of the bearing cage failing in the rod big end bearing.Thats what Z400 bearing fixes.Lucky you caught it before total failure.Should save you from a total frame flush.
