The issue with the dales is going up to a 450 is only adding 18cc's .Hardly anything and without letting it breathe better the bigger the displacement the harder it is to pump air in and out in the stock head. It will lower your operating rev range as well. If you think the stock heads have huge ports you will freak when you see what we can do with them.

I will put one of my ported 432's up against any stock head engine (even a 505)and Im sure it will kill it.

If you have the 500 ecu the GP control kit won't help you. The best option is to get a Dynojet Power Commander to tune it.

Keep the 500 ecu system and get a PowerCommander. These guys are right.Porting is where its at by far.Relatively cheap power also.

Have Timbo port it. With a better map, open air filter, port job and FMF TI exhaust you will see at a minumum, 49hp.

You can't remap the stock 500 ecu. It is what it is for the most part. The Power Commander is an add on computer that can be remapped like the 1000 ecu. The power commander is best suited to be tuned on a Dynojet with a tuning link. The tuning link will take the guess work out of tuning and live tune under load (real world conditions) for you.

I can get you a power commander. They run $290. The tuning link is part of the Dyno. It hooks into the power commander. One thing to do is to jump on dynojet's site to locate a dyno close to you and verify they have the tuning link, can tune a quad, and price. If they don't have a tuning link and the dyno operator is experienced he can accomplish the same thing.
