Electrical corrosion

#1 Post by cannondale27 »

The evil substance can be found everywhere a wire is.This relay is junk corroded the little coil wire right off.I am working on a solidstate relay or Wistech is working on sealed ones. This relay was only one year old!

All grounds and plugs are also vulnerable to this.Take the time to put Dielectric grease in all plugs and clean/tighten all grounds at batt, fuel reg, left headlight bracket(small ground wire)Will save many headaches.

Im doin that as we speak. But, i'd like you to do me a little favor if you have a wiring harness and a camera handy. I am color blind so therefore I have a very hard time figuring out what wires are what so im looking for the 3 wires the key switch plugs into. So if you can take pics or lemme know where they are at, that'd solve my push button problem.
