Will there be a date for when more are available? Will need a new crank and might as well go top of the line. I have all winter to strip the quad down and powdercoat everything and rebuild the engine. But a time frame would be nice since I'm guessing there's none left at this???
BTW: Who's got this 460 piston for sale I keep hearing about?

Hi,
Don't think it has anything to do with higher displacement or compression.Last year I dropped valves on my other stock Dale with only about 40-50 hrs on it ,about a week after I bumped my rev limiter (11,600)up.Those blew apart at full rpm.Nothing salvagable.I think the valves float close to the higher rev limiter causing them to break.I think a lower rev limiter could greatly increase valve life along with everything else.(max 10,800,11,000).They seem to always break at the bottom of the stem.I also think it is a good idea to replace valves when rebuilding. They run about $12 a piece. On both the stock and the stroked motor the cams were also worn where they looked like they were slapping against the bucket half way up the lobe.(sign of floating valves.)
