Hey Jaybr, how did the Big ride go? Were you able to get a falicon installed for the ride?

Look forward to hearing any new news!

Thanks again for your support!

I stayed up most of the night Thursday, then finished the motor early Friday morning when Pdavis showed with parts. Installed the motor in the quad Saturday at the ride and couldn't get it to start. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the crank, but more likely something simple I screwed up at 3:00 in the morning:mad:

I have to leave town again tomorrow for a few days so it will be the end of the week before I can look at it.

Got home a day early from my business trip and dropped the motor last night. As I suspected the timing is off a tooth or two:mad:

I know it was right when I first installed the timing chain, but in the rush to get the motor together Friday morning we pulled the chain to install the new guide and must have turned the crank a hair when we put it back on.

Just as I suspected it was a stupid mistake made when rushing things.

These motors have a way of teaching lessons real well.Sucks when you have to pull the motor after just putting it in.Been there myself and actually felt sick doing it second time.Hang in there though it will be worth it when she fires up!

What CC is it going to be with what piston?

Bore x Bore x Stroke x # of cyl`s x .7854 / 1000 = CC

Thought some of you would like to know where these numbers are coming from.

New Falicon Stroke is = 63.4
