I just started putting in this kit tonight. It would seem to me that the longer bushing goes toward the outside. If I assemble it the other way the seam where the two bushings meet is in the middle of the bearing which seems wrong. Why the **** are there two anyway?? It would make way too much sense to have one long one?
Also mine came with the wrong size inner seals(engine side). The seals in the kit are 25mm OD. The bore in the swingarm is 26mm. I'm going to contact doug about that.
The whole bearing setup is just retarded. There are way to many pieces in there. With out much thought you could cut the part count way down on that assembly. Right now I think there are 9pcs per side. That could be cut back to 6pcs. At the same time you could solve the underlying problem of why they go bad. There are leak paths through the bushings that allow water into the bearing.
