Well, I will tell you that I have ran straight 93 octane in my bike. One reason for this: I know not everyone will run race gas, so I might as well try it in my bike, if something happens, I can warn the customer that yes, indeed it will blow without race gas. It almost feels alittle sluggish on mid-range without the race gas. I guess, you be the judge, it's your motor.

When I trail ride I bring a can of Octane boost along in case I have to fill up away from my race gas/premium mix.

What kind and octane of race gas would you suggest Doug?

I only use the Octane booster on trail rides if there is no other choice.I worry about what the stuff will eat up o-rings,tank,hoses etc.Buddy of mine stored his Vette for about 4 months with the stuff in his gas and it actually ate the fuel guage float and coated the entire tank, lines and even a little in carb with the disintegrated float.Looked like road tar when it dried.
