can someone explain the benefit of getting one of these to me?

When the factory plastic impellar gets very hot it tends to strip the threads out where it mounts to the intake cam. When these threads strip the impellar will free wheel and not pump any water thru the motor. No water thru the motor= no motor (unless you are cdrookie). I have pulled apart one motor with this problem. It wasn't the only problem, but it would have killed the motor not soon afterwards.

i was talking to the guy that made impellers, i think its the same guy haydug got those impellers from? He said on several covers he pulled there was evidence that the stock one was rubbing against the cover becuase there was a polished spot on the cover. he thinks that the impeller rubs against the cover and strips out, not from the heat.

ordered mine over the phone today
